My name is Karen, I have worked in the clothing industry for the past 27 years.
Ever since I was a teenager my dream was to own my own children's store.
After leaving the garment center to raise a family I found I loved baby clothes.
Everything from the toys to even knitting my own sweaters for my son or to give as gifts.
This adventure started because I was becoming a first time Aunt and took my sister-in-law to do a baby "layette" in a large children's boutique-from then on I knew this is what I wanted to do!
I started working as a "Layette Specialist".
One day my brother sat me down and said this is what you have always loved- why are you doing it for someone else...from that moment on, as a family "After the Stork" was born.
My dream was to have a friendly, warm local shop where my customers look forward to come in to see the ever changing merchandise.
